17-year-old dies by suicide at Observation Home in Kottayam

A 17-year-old boy, who is a native of Idukki, died by suicide at the Observation Home of the Government Children's Home in Kottayam. The incident occurred on Sunday. The boy, who was brought here on September 7 due to a theft case related to a relative's house, reportedly died due to emotional distress after his relatives failed to appear for bail. Despite being presented before the court three times, no one came to secure bail.
