Blessy recalls how he deglamourised Mammootty for Kazhcha

Director Blessy spoke in an interview given to DD Malayalam about casting Mammootty as the protagonist in the film 'Kazhcha'. He recalled the challenge of portraying Mammootty, who had a glamorous look in 'Chronic Bachelor', as an ordinary man. Blessy stated that he considered various methods to reduce Mammootty's glamour, including using fake beards or wigs, but concluded that it was impossible to diminish his natural beauty. He noted that the character was someone who always tried to justify his appearance, even carrying a comb in his pocket.
