Bus owners begin indefinite hunger strike in Kottayam demanding increase in ticket fares and student concessions

Bus owners have started an indefinite hunger strike in Kottayam to protect the private bus sector, which faces severe financial difficulties due to the Priyadarshini project. The protest began at 10 AM today in front of the Secretariat. Owners demand increasing the ticket fares for general public and student concessions, and the immediate implementation of recommendations from the Padmanabha Committee report.
