Cyclone warning issued for Bay of Bengal; heavy rain and lightning expected in Kerala until Wednesday

The central weather department issued a cyclone warning for the Bay of Bengal, noting a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea. Due to this, the state is expected to face isolated heavy rain and strong lightning from Sunday until Wednesday. Yellow alerts have been declared for Kottayam, Idukki districts on Sunday, and for Idukki, Palakkad, Malappuram, and Wayanad districts on Monday.
