Orange Alert Issued for Kottayam and Idukki; Heavy Rain and Lightning Expected

The central weather department has issued an Orange Alert for Kottayam and Idukki districts due to the influence of a low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. Heavy rain is being experienced in the eastern region of Kottayam district, including Teekoy, Thalanaad, Poonjar, Adivaram, and Vagamon. Strong rain continues in the Pala and Bharananganam areas, and the water level has risen in the Meenachil River in the Teekoy region.
