Forest Department completes preparations for Sabarimala pilgrimage; Erumely Range readies for safe forest journey

The Erumely Forest Range Office has fully prepared for the safe journey of lakhs of devotees arriving at Sabarimala during the Mandala-Makara Vilakku festival. The Forest Department is rapidly coordinating services and safety measures for the pilgrims. A joint control room of the Forest and Police will operate in Kozhikkanathu, a starting point for the traditional forest path. Additionally, temporary toilets are being constructed, and direction and warning boards will be installed throughout the path.
