The Forest Department has intensified monitoring and taken strict action against those dumping waste along paths near forests in Kottayam. The department repaired previously non-functional cameras and installed more new cameras. The Forest Department plans to take strict action against vehicle owners and individuals dumping waste, filing cases under non-bailable sections as per law.
