Former DGP Tomin J. Thachankari to remain in jail over illegal wealth accumulation case

The High Court has postponed the hearing of the petition filed by former DGP Tomin J. Thachankari regarding the suspension of his sentence until Thursday. The state government strongly opposed the petition, stating it is a special case and requires a written objection. Tomin J. Thachankari was sentenced by the Kottayam Vigilance Court to four years' imprisonment and a fine of 31 lakhs rupees in the illegal wealth accumulation case.
