Former DGP Tomin J. Thachankari seeks exemption from travel restrictions to UAE

Former DGP Tomin J. Thachankari filed a petition in the High Court seeking an exemption from the condition that he cannot leave India without prior permission in an illegal property accumulation case. He stated that he is the operations manager of a jewelry group in Sharjah and that he will lose his job if he does not join immediately. Thachankari requested permission to travel and work in the UAE, or permission to go to the UAE between October 26 and March 31, 2027.
