Heavy rain in Vagamon, Vellikkulam, Theekoy areas: Caution advised for low-lying areas including Pala

Due to heavy rain in Vagamon, Vellikkulam, and Theekoy areas, a landslide has blocked traffic on the Vagamon–Erattupetta road. Authorities advised avoiding unnecessary travel through hill areas due to the possibility of landslides and flash floods. Erattupetta Town Council Chairperson Adv. V.P. Nasir warned residents near the Meenachil River and in areas like Theekoy, Erattupetta, and Pala to remain cautious due to rising water levels.
