Heavy rains hit Kottayam district; 471.2 mm recorded, two deaths reported

Heavy rains were recorded across Kottayam district, with a total of 471.2 mm of rainfall. The most intense rainfall was reported in Theekoy (185 mm) and Erattupetta (178 mm). Two deaths occurred due to unexpected rains and widespread damage. The deceased were Sangeetha Arul Lal (35) from Chennai Jawahar Nagar and Joseph (Appachan, 80) from Perilingualam, Poonjar.
