The Kanayanur Local Family Meeting was held in Thrippunithura as part of the CPI(M) expanded District Committee Meeting scheduled for September 30 and October 1. Elias John presided over the meeting. P.R. Muralidharan, a Party District Secretariat member, inaugurated the session. K.N. Suresh, Omana Dharman, and Adv. K. Harikrishnan among others spoke.
