Landslide claims life of two-wheeler rider in Kottayam; heavy rain continues

A two-wheeler rider died after a landslide in Theekoy, Erattupetta, Velathussery, amid fears of landslides and flash floods in the eastern Kottayam region. The deceased was identified as Sangeetha Arulal (35), a Chennai native. Two young women, who were returning by scooter from Vagamon, were caught in the landslide near Velathussery St. Sebastian Church. Authorities have issued warnings to avoid unnecessary travel through hilly areas due to the heavy rain.
