Large establishments ignore directives, wasting electricity despite energy crisis

Despite the Energy Secretary's directive to avoid unnecessary lighting and decorations, large establishments are wasting electricity. The energy department tightened controls following a daily consumption of 95.39 million units and a peak requirement of 5400 MW in the evenings. Concerns are rising that the continued use of unnecessary decorative lights and billboards by large buildings and establishments will affect grid safety during peak hours.
