LDF wins bye-elections in two wards in Kannur district

The Left Democratic Front (LDF) secured victories in the local body bye-elections held in two wards in Kannur district. LDF candidates won the Uruvachal ward in Mattannoor Municipality and the 6th ward, Bavodu, in Pereralesery Grama Panchayat. In Mattannoor, LDF retained its sitting seat with a large majority, while in Pereralesery, it regained the sitting seat from the Congress, which was previously lost.
