Makkekadavu-Narekadavu Bridge to Connect Alappuzha, Kottayam, and Thrippunithura Routes

The Makkekadavu-Narekadavu Bridge, a long-awaited link between Alappuzha and Kottayam districts, will be inaugurated by CM V.D. Satheesan on October 18. The inauguration ceremony, starting at 9 AM at Makkekadavu, will be chaired by P.K. Bashir, Minister for Public Works. The bridge connects Thaikaattussery Panchayat in Alappuzha and Udayanapuram Panchayat in Kottayam, and is expected to provide easy access to Vaikom and Thrippunithura. The total construction cost for the bridge is 98.09 crore rupees.
