Man arrested in Kottayam for using fake 500 rupee notes in shops

A 63-year-old man was arrested by Vaikom police in Kottayam for using fake 500 rupee notes to purchase items from shops. The accused, Abdul Rasheed, a native of Pathanapuram from Kollam, was apprehended during a search at a rented house in Illikkal Kallu, Veloor. Police recovered 37 fake 500 rupee notes, along with equipment used for counterfeiting, during the search.
