Man dies in landslide near Erattupetta-Teekoy; Orange Alert issued for Kottayam and Idukki

A man from Chennai, Sangeetha Arulal (35), died after a landslide near Erattupetta-Teekoy in the eastern region of Kottayam. The incident occurred while two young women were returning by scooter from Vagamon, near the Velathussery St. Sebastian Church. Authorities issued an Orange Alert for Kottayam and Idukki districts due to heavy rain. Strong winds up to 40 km/h are also possible.
