Motor Vehicle Department suspends license and fitness of bus after accident in Chanthakavala

The Motor Vehicle Department has suspended the license of the driver and the fitness of the bus 'Thandapra' following an incident where the private bus ran onto the footpath in Chanthakavala. The driver, Athul Biju, a resident of Kurichy, is currently in police custody. The accident resulted in four injuries and one death; Anjali Ajay (19) from Nathaseri Incherekkunna Parayil died. The department's preliminary finding attributes the accident to the bus's excessive speed and worn tires.
