Passengers oppose extension of Kottayam-Kollam MEMU to Ernakulam

Passengers and the Mahatma Gandhi University Employees Union have opposed the proposed extension of the Kollam-Kottayam MEMU service to Ernakulam. They argue that the change would cause inconvenience to commuters traveling between Kottayam and Kollam. The union submitted a memorandum demanding the MEMU service be retained in its existing form. Kottayam MP K Francis George also opposed the extension, requesting a separate MEMU service from Kottayam to Kollam.
