Prices of essential vegetables like beans, small onions, and lime rise in Kottayam market

The sharp price hike of essential vegetables like beans, small onions, and lime is affecting common people and traders in the Kottayam vegetable market. Beans, which were priced at 60-65 rupees per kg in Ernakulam last month, are now sold at 120 rupees in the wholesale market and 130 rupees in the retail market. Small onions, previously priced at 58-65 rupees, are now being sold for 90-95 rupees in the wholesale market and 100-110 rupees in the retail market.
