Protest at Kottayam Medical College ends after assurance of investigation into alleged medical negligence

A protest was held at the Kottayam Medical College Superintendent's office demanding a comprehensive investigation into the alleged medical negligence of a woman who died after a hernia surgery. The protest temporarily ended after the Principal and Superintendent gave assurance that the Director of Medical Education would conduct an investigation using an expert medical team from outside the hospital. The assurance was given after the Principal spoke with the Health Minister's office.
