Railway increases minimum fine for ticketless travel to ₹500, checks intensify from October 1

Indian Railways has intensified action against those traveling without tickets or illegally. The minimum fine for ticketless travel has been raised from ₹250 to ₹500. Starting October 1, Indian Railways will intensify checks at railway stations and trains.
