Vigilance investigates alleged irregularities at Kottayam Medical College

A vigilance team conducted an investigation at Kottayam Medical College Hospital regarding allegations of financial irregularities, unauthorized appointments, and other corruption. The investigation, ordered by the High Court based on a petition filed by C.V. Jayamol of Arppookara, included seizing key documents and recording the statement of the Hospital Superintendent. Allegations include the unauthorized expenditure of nearly four lakh rupees from the 'Cadaver Fund' in 2019 via the Hospital Development Society, as well as irregularities in appointments and medicine purchases.
