Vigilance to take departmental action against Vaikom CI for accepting bribes

Vigilance officials are set to take departmental action against Vaikom CI Shemeer Khan for allegedly accepting bribes. The alleged misconduct was discovered during a Vigilance inspection at the CI office, following information linking him to the land mafia. Vigilance officials stated they would submit a report today regarding further action against Shemeer Khan. The account, opened last month using an Aswan resident's Aadhaar and PAN card, received approximately two and a half lakh rupees. Shemeer Khan was observed withdrawing the money from various ATMs, often wearing a mask and helmet to avoid being captured on camera.
