Farmers Union demands withdrawal of increased fertilizer and pesticide prices in Pala

The Farmers Union M Pala Constituency Committee demanded the central and state governments withdraw the 'farmer exploitation' measures that increased the prices of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. The committee stated that the arbitrary price hike, such as a sack of Farmfos increasing from 1425 rupees to 2350 rupees, has pushed farmers toward abandoning farming. The group warned that if the price hike is not withdrawn, they will launch direct protest activities.
