Free cancer screening for 214 Anganwadi workers under 'Pratheeksha' project launched

The 'Pratheeksha' cancer screening project, for Anganwadi workers, was launched through a joint effort by the ICDS Ettumanoor Project and Caritas Hospital. The program commenced with an inauguration and a cancer awareness class at Caritas Hospital's Diamond Jubilee Conference Hall. Under the project, 214 female Anganwadi workers will receive free Pap smear tests for cervical cancer and mammogram tests for breast cancer. The initiative aims to detect cancer in its early stages and ensure necessary follow-up care and treatment.
