Government to intensify road safety checks on national highways to halve accident deaths

The Motor Vehicle Department and Police are preparing for 24-hour joint checks on national highways across the state, dividing them into six zones. The primary goal is to reduce road accident deaths by half within the next three months. This initiative will also involve seizing vehicles of lawbreakers and implementing measures like strengthening bail conditions.
