Kerala Health Minister requests Vigilance investigation into alleged irregularities at Kottayam Medical College Hospital's new surgical block

Kerala Health Minister K. Muralidharan wrote to the Home Department requesting a Vigilance investigation into alleged irregularities and defects in the new surgical block at Kottayam Medical College Hospital. The Minister noted that the building, constructed with ₹257 crore from the KIFB fund, has suffered multiple incidents, including ceiling collapses and structural defects. He also alleged that the company assigned the construction work had sub-contracted the work to other agencies.
