Minister M Liju to revoke authority to issue bar licenses to Excise Deputy Commissioners

Minister M Liju announced that the authority to grant bar licenses to Excise Deputy Commissioners will be revoked. The government stated that officials violated the directive that licenses should not be issued until the liquor policy is decided. The minister also stated that any official who harbors the 'ghost' of the previous government will be removed.
