Signal lights in Pala fail after lightning and heavy rain

Signal lights installed in Pala have been non-functional since yesterday. Auto drivers stated that lightning and heavy rain caused the signal failure. The signal lights, which cost 29 lakh rupees, have been non-functional after working for a week. An accident occurred this morning at 11:45 AM when a car lost control and hit a power pole at the junction. The confusion caused by the missing traffic signal was cited as the cause of the accident.
